Blunt force puncture testing in the ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 standard uses a probe to simulate tear or burst hazards. It measures the force required for a blunt probe to pierce PPE material, with results in Newtons converted to a 1-5 scale (10-150+ newtons) for puncture resistance.
